Miscarriage worries nearly 6 weeks

Hi
I am nearly 5+5 weeks pregnant and on Sunday I was bleeding bright red fresh blood. This was only noticeable when I was at the toilet and wiping but there was a lot and one two occasions there was stringy like tissue also, about 2inch in size. The bleeding continued all day but again only as I was wiping. So I went to out of hours that night who did a pregnancy test which came back positive still and she felt my belly and said it was soft which was good. She then referred me to early pregnancy clinic for a scan which will happen on Thursday when I should be 6 weeks. Since Sunday (it’s now Tuesday) I am still bleeding as I wipe, still fresh bright red blood but have had no more clots or tissue pass. I have cramped a little but nothing that has alarmed me. I did a pregnancy test and there was only a faint line, today I have incredibly sore boobs. But I’m anxious and going out of my mind with worry, I had a late miscarriage last year at 22 weeks and I have two children aged 11 and 8 years. I feel like I have lost the baby now and that’s why I’m bleeding and there’s a faint line on test. I don’t know why my boobs are so sore today though. Does anyone have any experience or advice? I have my scan Thursday morning but feel like I’m going out of my mind with not knowing. I have had a previous miscarriage at 8 weeks and it was completely different and I knew straight away as I seen all that I passed and was bleeding so heavy.

I had a miscarriage in April. I began bleeding at 5 weeks and it continued until almost 8 weeks when I eventually miscarried. It went on for way longer than I expected. I'm now 5 weeks pregnant and praying the same doesn't happen again. It's so hard, I really feel for you. It messes with your mind so badly.

Hope this isn't the case for you and all will be fine. Good luck with your scan Thanks.

I’m sorry you’re going through such a worrying time. I wish you all the best for your scan - I’m sorry I don’t have anything more reassuring to say. Keep us updated
