Pain in left buttock - possibly SPD

Developed this tenderness a few days back that started out in my left inner thigh (between my vagina and bum) and now has gone onto my left buttock. It feels bruised and it actually really hurts. I've had this before I few times this year but it's gone after a couple of weeks.

I'm 13 weeks and when I googled these symptoms, SPD came up. Obviously I'm eager to get this looked at. Would a doctor diagnose this or could I request an appointment with a maternity midwife? My doctors is nigh impossible to get an appointment at at this moment.

Poor you. It may vary from county to county but my midwife referred me to the physio.

Look up SI pain. I think it's what I have too. Really painful on both sides of my tailbone in the upper bum area. Best to speak to your midwife and see if you can get a referral for some treatment..

I rang my docs and amazingly, I'm seeing a doc on Thurs @ 10.30. But apparently you can self refer to physio at the hospital anyway so I might do that as all signs seem to be looking that way. I'm hoping if I get in early with some physio and exercises, it won't be as bad. That's what most women seem to be saying on her. At the moment, it's agony to sit down and stings in my bum constantly

Sounds very similar to the pain I've had which the midwife and physio said was pregnancy related sciatica. Definitely see a physio sooner rather than later, as the earlier you start doing exercises the more benefit you'll get from them.

Sciatica was the other thing when I had a look online but I've had sciatica before and it's defo not the same feeling. Unless pregnancy related sciatica feels different! Thanks all for the advice x
