5 weeks pregnant and period cramps at night

I just found out I was pregnant 2 days ago and my periods were also due 2 days ago. However I am getting period cramps which get a little bad when lying down at night but they are okay in the morning I haven't gotten the chance to even visit the gp yet but is this normal?
