Maternity Pay

I am hoping some of you will be more knowledgeable than me! I am trying to work out my entitlement when I take my maternity, fortunately I can afford to take 6 months maternity! Does anyone know if you can request that your employer pays you an average amount each month? For example all of the money you expect to get weekly/monthly for 6 months averaged out to equal payments rather than it being a steady drop?

Do your company offer an enhanced package or is it Statutory matenrity Pay only?

It is slightly better than statutory, 90% first 6 weeks then 70% weeks 7-12 and then 50% weeks 13-18. It then moves on to statutory. I am just wondering if anyone has had it where they will average the payments out.

The NHS do this so it can definitely be done. Ask your HR department
