Ketones

Hi
Has anyone ever had any problems with ketones in their urine during pregnancy? I had a UTI at approximately 10 weeks then at 16 week midwife appt I was sent to GP as she thought it was still there - GP diagnosed no infection but presence of ketones. It was put down to me just being back from holiday where I'd been walking 10-12 miles a day and not eating that well (I have gluten and dairy intolerances and struggled with food availability.

Then I had my glucose test which has come back normal (2 weeks ago) but at my 28 week midwife appt today they're saying I have ketones again. ☹️. I've made that fatal mistake of googling and it's saying all sorts about baby being born with learning difficulties etc so I'm not pretty panicked!

Thanks

Are you still not eating properly?

I have ketones too. you need to drink more and eat better.

ketones are only something to worry about if theres lots. some in your wee isn't that bad.

I felt I was eating fairly well, I definitely don't feel like I'm hungry enough to eat more. I have breakfast, lunch and dinner and I snack if I feel hungry. I know I wasn't drinking enough as I had a funny turn a week ago and they said I was dehydrated so been making a conscious effort to drink more too.
I have ridiculous heartburn (pregnancy on top of a hiatus hernia isn't fun) but it can't be to do with that can it?
When I had my first, I lost weight (was two sizes smaller after giving birth than I was before I was pregnant) so I'm wondering if it was the same thing then and they didn't pick up on it.

Thanks all!!

I had keytones
They advised more Carbs and fatty food.
Shall see what the next brings
But in honesty Id had a stressful few days and didn't eat properly.. If I'm stressed i can't eat and if I forced it I'd be sick so I think that's the main reason why

I had them at my 27wk appt this week. All the midwife said was that I was hungry and everyone who brought samples in that morning had the same result.
She didn't seem at all worried.
