It can't just be me surely?

Fell sick until 9 ish weeks pregnant. Now 18 weeks. The last 9 weeks after sickness abated I am just hungry...all...the...time!

I thought it was around 300 calories extra needed, and that was at the end of pregnancy, not now?

Either way, If I don't eat I start getting all shaky and faint as well. All tests have come back fine so not low in anything.

Today so far:
8am - 2 slices wholegrain nutty type bread with peanut butter. An orange
10am - banana
11.30am - granola bar

its 12.30 here, and I am definitely ready for lunch soon (lentil soup and bread, cheese). I will probably need a snack mid afternoon so i don't eat my arm off, and will have a regular meal tonight (chicken, sweet potatao and coldslaw)

Before pregnancy i would usually have just 3 meals per day, and very rarely snacked.

At least you sound like you have a very healthy diet. I’m 5+0 and have skipped nausea and just want bread bread bread. Also toast!

Trying to reign it in before I develop a bread bump before baby bump!

I remember being the same had a stage of eating and half hour later being starving I felt sick with it.. I'm 31 weeks now and it's eased off again if anything I get fuller quicker now for some reason. You seem to be eating decent food though so I wouldn't worry about it and eat when you need to x

I was also told this. I don't know how they calculated it, but I suspect it may be one of those guidelines that changes again soon. Throughout first trimester I was so so hungry and must have been eating 3500-4000 calories a day. I honestly could not stop myself. I didn't gain weight. Third trimester now, toned it down a bit but still eating more than I was pre-pregnancy, doing far less exercise, and my weight gain is very slightly on the low side according to www.babycenter.com/pregnancy-weight-gain-estimator

Hmm yes most is fairly healthy, but I did eat half a box of Ferrero rocher yesterday also!

I have gained around 3kg so far, so not a huge amount

Oh thank goodness it's not just me.
I'm also 18 weeks and can't stop thinking about food as I'm always hungry. Fortunately I'm not feeling sick or faint if I don't eat but I was also concerned that this wasn't normal!
