Physio/chiro referral

Hi ladies - can anyone tell me how to go about getting a physio/chiro referral? I'm 31+4, and I've got constant pain in my right shoulder and neck, probably because of sleeping on my sodding left-hand-side. Last night, the pain was stopping me from getting to sleep in the first place.

I'm next due to see the GP for a regular 31-wk appt next Monday, but not sure I want to leave it til then to talk to someone about it.

Thanks!

The GP can take a very long time to refer (although ham up the pregnancy angle if this is your only option) - your midwife is a better bet. I had to do some begging for a physio referral for PGP but it went through and then I had an appt within a week. But the GP, in my area anyway, were stuck with their usual waiting lists whereas midwives can try and push you through. Good luck!

Thanks, I'll give the midwives a go!

In my area you can self refer to the hospital which was faster - worth checking your hospital's website :)
