Early labour

Morning all,

First time poster here so be gentle haha. My wife is 36+1 and from Saturday afternoon/evening has had a constant period like cramp in her stomach, really bad lower back pain and cramping, been exceptionally restless and feeling sick and just not herself. She said herself she doesn’t feel right but doesn’t know what’s wrong. Could this be labour about to start or am I overreacting?

You need to give triage a call or even her midwife and get some medical advice.. Although it could just be braxton hicks. Has she taken anything for the pain so paracetamol? And had a bath to see if it eases off? Deffinately give the hospital a call they may want to get her in to monitor her x
