Chemical pregnancy??

Hi

I’m just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me.. I took a first response pregnancy test last week and it was positive. In fact I took 5 and answer tests which are the cheaper version and that came out faint aswell but you can definitely see it. I don’t know how to attach the pic though :/
Anyway my periods are sometimes irregular and my last one was 30th September and I didn’t DTD in the month of October but at the beginning of November so I know I can’t be no more than 4/5 weeks at the most or was. I have only ever had one successful pregnancy. Got a 6 year old DD and never had a loss apart from now. The reason I say this is because the positives have got lighter but I have had very light blood when wiping. Not like a normal period. It’s been going on and off for about a week but I havnt had to use a pad or anything. Is the worst yet to come or not? Sorry it’s so long winded but just wanted someone else that’s had similar. Thankyou x

Unfortunately a chemical is just a waiting game either the tests will still be positive or they will get lighter til they are negative. Sorry it's not better advice iv had a couple and was just a wait. Only other thing is if ur concerned phone your doctor and explain you got a positive and are now bleeding and they will advise on whether u need to be checked

Also what tests are you using? Pink dye especially frer are most reliable best to use and also if u do one every 2nd day they should get darker if things are going the right way. Really hope it's good news for u keep me updated. P.S you add a pic by using paperclip button when you go to post a reply.

I’ve been using first response and answer. It was pretty positive last week and it’s definitely faded now 😕 x

Toniaxx · 26/11/2019 10:27

Yes I only signed up yesterday. That explains it then... oh wow your faint lines are darker than mine... I’ve been to the drs this morning and she’s rang the EPU for a scan. I should hear back today but don’t feel right going incase the test was lying. I mean there were 5 tests and they all the had same but still... I had pain in my left side the other day and she said she wants it checked just incase! X

Better safe than sorry. I had to go to epu with this pregnancy as I was having left side pain. At least at the hospital they should do a blood test and u will get definite answers. When is ur appointment?

Toniaxx · 26/11/2019 11:35

Are you pregnant now or is this a chemical pregnancy? What do they do? And I’m not sure, got to wait for a call this afternoon x

I'm now 20 weeks pregnant after 2 chemicals at 5 weeks before falling with this. Mine they took bloods to test HCG levels and then scanned to check pregnancy was in the right ppace. At the time I was only about 5 and half weeks so they could only see an empty sac had to go back 10 days later to get rescanned

Toniaxx · 26/11/2019 12:43

Sad about the chemicals but great news that your half way through now 🤗 I’m going to guess Boy.. do you know?

Thanks for that information. Doesn’t seem so bad x

Toniaxx · 26/11/2019 16:41

Toniaxx · 27/11/2019 16:52

Awe I'm sorry not the news I was hoping for for u that first test does look like my first one and is definitely pink. Unfortunately probably was a chemical. Not nice as soon as the 2 lines show up u start thinking about all the possibilities miscarriage at any stage is horrible

MummyT13 · 29/11/2019 22:18

Hi,

Just wanna add to this as I have had the same thing happen this week. Got 6 positives and then faded and went away. I'm waiting for the full on bleed to start. Chemical pregnancies are more common than you think (not that it makes it any easier).

Toniaxx · 30/11/2019 09:06

Thankyou for your support Nic & Hi mummy T, I’m sorry your going through the same thing 😰. If I hadn’t of checked when I did I would never have known but because my periods aren’t regular that’s why I did... nevermind though. I think I was meant to find out. Sad though because it’s so close but not close enough... I havnt had any heavy bleeding I’ve just been spotting for about 10 days now 🤨 x

MummyT13 · 30/11/2019 18:47

Yeah it's definitely a curse from testing early. I know when I ovulate, I know exactly when my period will be! This is my 14th month trying so I'm not new to ttc.. so having a chemical be aimed quite hard.
