Leaking

I'm 26 + 5 and for the past few days or so I have felt quite leaky. I feel I need to change underwear a couple of times a day as I feel wet. Is it normal to feel this leaky? Is it just wee or should I be worried? I also feel very heavy and pressured down there

I don't have experience of this but I would definitely speak to the midwife today. Better to be safe than sorry.

When I was leaky at 37 weeks it was my waters slowly going and labour followed.

Nanmumandmidwife · 25/11/2019 07:57

You need to go to hospital this morning. It is possible that your waters are leaking and if this has been for a few days the risk of infection is significant.
Hopefully they can confirm that it is just a lot of vaginal discharge but the only way to find out is to go in to hospital.
Let us know what they say. Fingers crossed for you

Ring up first as they will probally tell you to pop on a liner so they can test it to see if it's your waters but deffinately go get checked out x

I had this at 30 weeks last pregnancy. I was shopping and then realised my knickers were soaked but I hadn't felt anything (hadn't wet myself!) . Spoke to GP who rang the hospital, I was sent straight in for an exam. They just swab inside to test if its amniotic fluid, as there is a chance you could have a slow hind water leak. For me it wasn't, it was just ridiculous amount of leakage/discharge but it put my mind at rest.

Put a pad on, if its your waters it will be clear with no smell. Also ring your midwife ASAP, Its always better to get checked than leave it.
With DD my bladdler became so weak I had to wear pads from 25weeks onwards 🙈.

Thanks everyone. I will call my midwife and let you know what happens. Oh the joys of pregnancy!

If you have any concern at all please go in and get checked, insist on a swab if needed. My waters were leaking for 5 weeks and I was repeatedly told it wasnt waters as it was a slow trickle, eventually had an emergency induction as less than 2% fluids were left and baby was in distress. It wont hurt to get checked out!

Lcw29 · 25/11/2019 17:02

I went in but told its unlikely waters as there would be more fluid but to wear a pad and if its pink or starts to fill it to go back in.
