Hi everyone,

Currently sat awake at half 4 in the morning not being able to sleep as obsessing over how to naturally induce labour. Currently 40 weeks + 5 days so slightly fed up but surprisingly comfortable considering. I've got a sweep on Thursday and then will discuss induction. Has anyone got any tips to get through this stage of pregnancy? Or share their experience? I'm getting more irritable the more messages I get from friends asking if the baby has arrived yet. My partner is being great and keeps reminding me that she will come when she is ready! X

Oh god. This was me on August. My DS was born at 41+1. I did end up going into labour it naturally but my labour was 34 hours that ended in an emergency cecasarean.

Anywho. Like yourself I too wanted to fall into labour naturally. The day before I did go, I did a 3 mile walk. I am convinced this is what got me going. I also did squats! And weirdly... Nipple stimulation.

I too got numerous messages. I ignored them in the end as they were getting right on my nerves.

I feel for you. All the best OP. Now stock on some calming music and get some rest xx

I was induced at 40+6 just over a week ago. I had a stretch and sweep and really wanted it to happen naturally but actually induction was a much better experience than I expected and I wouldn't be annoyed if I had to be induced again in the future. In those last couple of weeks though I was miserable - like you I'd be up in the early hours completely fed up and unable to sleep. And yep my friends and family kept txting/ringing even though I'd let them know if anything had happened and it did get really annoying! Just remember how far along in your pregnancy you are and that you will have your baby really really soon! Selfishly it helped me to think of all the women who still had weeks/months to to and to know that I'd nearly got to the finish line Flowers
