Hi, I have hereditary varicose veins that swell and become painful when I'm pregnant. I've had an ultrasound scan on them and there are no clots, it's just that the surface of the vein is weak and therefore swells with all the extra blood flowing around.

I wore those bloody awful hospital green stockings last time but I would like some proper black tights so I can wear my normal clothes without having to try and cover them up!

Can anyone recommend where I can get any from please, most places I've look just sell support maternity tights but the ones I need mmHg 15-20 (medium). Thank you.

I was prescribed some made-to-mwasure support tights from the hospital at booking in appt, as varicose veins was one of the questions and I have them above the knee on one leg (which meant they gave me tights not stockings). Suppirt tights are awful though, really wrinkle behind the knee as soon as you walk/sit down, to the point where they rub and give me welts! I have barely worn them Blush

Thanks @Nervousdave I'll ask at my next hospital appointment this week.
