I had a second degree tear in last pregnancy. I'm now 26 weeks in to my second and feel a deep ache where I tore that spreads to my bottom. Is this normal? It's really uncomfortable to walk.

Interestingly, my episiotomy scar has always ached around my period. A really deep, uncomfortable pain. Then goes once my period is done. And I’ve had that same ache throughout my second pregnancy.. it’s long confused me, I’ve always assumed something to do with hormones?! Mine is uncomfortable to sit on but OK walking .. I think if it’s affecting walking and really bothering you day to day, worth a chat to your doc!

I'm currently 38 weeks and had an ache there from around 26 weeks. Had to sit on a cusion on my office chair. This is my first baby so not related to previous tear. But I think it will ache just due to the change in blood flow. If it's any help the feeling eased off again by 30ish weeks.

Thanks you guys! Glad to know I'm not alone. It seems worse if I'm on my feet all day. But will mention it to my midwife when I see her next.
