Elvie Breast Pumps...

...are they worth it? Plan to express and breastfeed and would like something more discreet than traditional pumps. John Lewis currently have them in the sale and can't decide whether to pick one up, although it's a little early (due early March)
Thanks

I have one. The hands-free aspect is good and I use it to pump while doing things around the house. Bit it's not that discreet - it's quite big and has a light on it! I also find it needs to be in exactly the right position to work properly.

Having returned to work it's an absolute godsend. I can keep working while express. I have a double pump and i absolutely love them. It's not perfect - there is a light and they take a bit of adjustment but they work brilliantly for me. I can get a cup of tea, walk around etc while expressing. Game changer!

Hands down the best piece of baby equipment I own. Back at work, conduct meetings, do playground duty etc wearing it. Game changer for me.

Don’t think I’ll be wearing it in the office next to colleagues, but to be hands free and move around the house getting on with stuff is priceless!
Really good quality feel and parts etc

I have just brought a single one and it arrived just yesterday & I wish I would have brought one sooner. My babe is 8 months and we were mix feeding...until illness & 4 teeth 🙈 I can’t get him to latch without biting and so I’ve gone to pumping to try and get however much breast milk I can get for him.

I first had the Bella Baby then moved onto the Medela Swing (still have this) and now the Elvie. The reason I brought it was because I can’t maintain expressing being hooked to a mains plug / pump bra multiple times a day 🤦🏾‍♀️

So far I love the Elvie it’s a game changer however I’m still getting use to it. There’s a lot of mixed reviews so time will tell if it’s worth the £224 I spent (manage for veg 10% directly via Elvie along with a 2 year warranty). I think it’s well worth it for the fact that you’re not hooked to a wall - it’s helping me so much being able to just move around and pump.

I would be more than happy to go shops / walk etc with it pumping as it’s feasible - who cares if you have a funny looking boob 😂

It’s definately a game changer but it is a first gen product - if you plan to pump long term though definately recommend it.
