So I'm 5 w today but I've had spotting when I go to the toilet or have sex
I've been on Google and it says about 20% of women experience some kind of bleeding in pregnancy but I worried
Now it is light spotting and I do have that thing where some of the lining of my womb has creeped onto my cervix
Has anyone else had this that can put my mind at ease

Please

At 6 weeks I had bright red blood followed by brown.
I went to my GP who referred me to the early pregnancy unit at the local hospital & I got a scan the next day
They found a Heamotoma, which is a blood cyst in my womb which had burst. It harmful to the baby.
If you are worried go to the GP and asked to be referred for a scan. My GP was very understanding

Hey this is quite normal. When I was pregnant I used to have random spotting early on in pregnancy. Aslong as you don't have any heavy bleeding to the point where a pad is full your fine. I remember this happening an I panicked so I know the feeling. Now I have a beautiful daughter who's 4 months Smile

I had spotting at 5, 6, 8, 11 and 14 weeks. I am now 15 weeks! I also have a cervical ectropian (where cells from inside cervix grow on outside) and I had a small haematoma that caused the 14 week bleed. It can be definitely be nothing serious, however in a previous pregnancy I spotted and sadly ended up miscarrying. So I guess what I’m trying to say is it can be normal and try not to worry, but I would recommend speaking to your GP and asking for an early scan just to reassure you. Good luck.
