How many weeks am I?

Right so I have recently found out I am pregnant, my partner and I are absolutely over the moon! This is my first and his second.
We are confused by how many weeks pregnant I am though!
I had what I thought was a period on the 25th October , first day was normal flow and really painful , then for two more days was light and pain free. Usually my period lasts for five days and the first two days are really painful and heavy and the next three days are not painful and just a normal flow. TMI sorry.
So was this a period ? Or implantation?
I worked out my due date based on this to be 31st July 2020 meaning I’m 4 weeks pregnant.
However I then took a clear blue week detector test, the result 3+ which in the instructions apparently means I’m 5+ weeks pregnant ?
I know people May Say just wait until the midwives appointment but I’m so excited and just wondering how far gone I actually am!! Impatient 😌.

Just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience? How accurate are these tests ? Is it possible the test said 3+ but I’m actually in the 2-3 bracket?
Thank you 😊

If it said 3+ then your around 5-6 weeks pregnant.. But your midwife will just go off your Lmp not when you think you conceived etc or if you thought it was implantation bleeding.. It does sounds like it was possibly implantation bleeding and not a period though. Unfortunately only way to know is with a scan so either when you have your dating scan which will be in around 8 weeks due to the fact they will go from your Lmp or if you have an early private scan. Bare in mind if you do go for an early scan heartbeats etc can only usually be seen around 7/8 weeks. You will probally find when you go for your dating scan you may be a little further on x

The week indicators are not the accurate - some people never get past 1-2 weeks and some show 3+ when it can’t be so I wouldn’t rely on that.
As PP says, only way to know for sure is to scan.
Congratulations!
