Hi ladies, if you have had previous pregnancies, how many weeks were you when you had a spontaneous birth? Can you actually go into spontaneous delivery weeks before due date without intervention?

I went into spontaneous labour at 35+ 3 and 38 weeks.
I was a low risk, textbook pregnancy with no issues identified before the premature labour. And no reason was found for the labour to have started.
My second pregnancy was higher risk and I was told I wouldn’t get past 32 weeks.
Placenta issues self corrected and spontaneous labour started at 38 weeks.

41 weeks, went into labour naturally.

DramaAlpaca · 23/11/2019 15:17

I had two spontaneous labours at 39+2 and one at 40+5.

Mylittlepony374 · 23/11/2019 15:19

1st induced at 39 weeks.
2nd spontaneous labour at 34 weeks.

mumof23188 · 23/11/2019 15:19

I’ve had two first at 39+4 and second at 40 weeks. Both started with my waters popping.

statetrooperstacey · 23/11/2019 15:21

2@ 34 weeks, 2 at bang on 40 weeks and one at 38 weeks. No idea what caused the 34 week labours!

merryhouse · 23/11/2019 15:39

I went into labour on due date and due date +2 (both Saturday, such considerate boys).

Anything after 37 weeks is counted as full-term so wouldn't initially be considered any more of a problem than a due-date labour.

Your medical professionals will expect to monitor labour and birth whenever it happens, and if they consider intervention necessary will say so regardless of your dates.

41 weeks

40+4 with baby one..

Ibizababyy · 23/11/2019 18:12

Had my first at 37+4- woke to first twinge at 8am didn’t truly believe it was the real deal as everyone says you’ll be overdue with your first. Only just made it to hospital in time for DS1 to arrive 15 mins later at 2.09pm

ShivD · 23/11/2019 18:47

Mine were all pretty close to 40 weeks,
40+3
40 exactly
39+5
39+6

SleepingStandingUp · 23/11/2019 18:48

Spontaneous labour started with Waters going at 34+6 and then contractions starting the next day

OrangeZog · 23/11/2019 18:48

Spontaneous at 37 and 38 weeks.

Biancadelrioisback · 23/11/2019 18:51

oneofthose · 23/11/2019 18:57

Spontaneous labour at 36+6

Throughabushbackwards · 23/11/2019 19:13

I had a sweep with both of mine so technically not entirely spontaneous, but both were recorded as such, both at 41 weeks.

Thesearmsofmine · 23/11/2019 19:23

Two spontaneous labours, one on due date and the other 8 days over.

Littlefrog99 · 23/11/2019 19:29

I was induced with DC1 at 39+5 after a very easy pregnancy, I just developed high blood pressure towards the end. With DC2 I just knew I'd have the baby by 36 weeks. It was a relatively straightforward pregnancy although I did have gestational diabetes. I went into spontaneous labour at 33 weeks.

redastherose · 23/11/2019 20:18

3 days after due date with my first 6 days after due date with my second! Spontaneous natural births and quick with both.

addictedtotheflats · 23/11/2019 22:00

Spontaneous labour at 41+4. Was booked for induction that morning

Doilooklikeatourist · 23/11/2019 22:06

Spontaneous at 39 & 4
And 40 & 5
Longest 5 days of my life ❤️

BlueEyedFloozy · 23/11/2019 22:09

40+6.

I know a few people who've had normal pregnancies and gone into spontaneous labour from 35 weeks onwards.

Chooseanotherusername87 · 23/11/2019 22:10

39+6 & 40+3
