21 weeks pregnant, BP keeps fluctuations from normal to over 150 & +1 protein in urine... midwife says too early for preeclampsia, should I be concerned?

I'm really worried. This is my first pregnancy, I've never had BP issues before but it has recently been fluctuating from normal (120ish) to between140 - 158. The doctor also found a small amount of protein in my urine and because of constant aching headaches I was sent to see the midwives for reviewing. My blood pressure fluctuated whilst I was with the midwife but it did lower to normal range. They tested my urine again but didn't find any protein and sent me home and told me it wouldn't be preeclampsia.

I'm really worried, I've got constant headaches, they don't stop me from daily living but I avoid lights and usually have an ice pack on my head when not doing anything.

I don't know what to do.

Do you have a number for your community midwife office? I would give them a ring and try and speak to someone else and voice your concerns and ask for tests to be done/repeated x
