13 weeks tomorrow, been plagued by nausea which gets wore throughout the day. My normal diet consists of bread, bagels, Cereal and porridge. I reckon I've eaten my weight in them over the over the past 7 weeks and am not thoroughly fed up of it. I tried eating smaller portions of the meals my family are eating but I just can't manage most of the time.

I still love the smell of some food but put it in front of me, not a chance. Its also being made harder by the fact I feel worse if I don't eat every 90 mins,I literally can't eat any more toast, bagels, Cereal or fucking porridge.

I was a massive foodie before this and I'm starting to feel I'm never going to eat normally again. Please feel free to tell me your stories where you went back to normal!

No advice but I'm in a similar shitty boat! I swear this baby is going to look more like toast than a person 😂
I'm 11 weeks and on 2x different tablets for Hyperemeis. I think to be honest, pregnancy is all about surviving! So if shit food is what we can manage then so be it!

I'm 17 weeks in and have basically been living off Cornflakes, dry bread and plain pasta with cheese. I used to love my food too but can't imagine ever getting my appetite back! The thought of certain dishes I used to love makes me feel nauseous.

This is so true! I'm just trying to muddle through it as best I can.

I lived on a beige diet from week 6-19. When I did eat my diet consisted of oven chips, bagels, mash and biscuits! I couldn’t have looked at most foods I loved.

Symptoms disappeared at 20 weeks and I’ve more or less been able eat what I would pre-pregnancy except fish which I still can’t tolerate.

It will get better even if you might struggle to believe it at this stage!

Up until 16 weeks all I could eat was beef space raiders Blush
The look/smell/taste of meat made me vomit it was horrid! Sad
Then randomly, one day it all went back to normal, still small portions but could pretty much each everything (other than chicken)
Baby is 5months old now and everything is back to normal! Smile

Ha, MamaBearThius I've said exactly the same to my partner.

I'm just so fed up of the same food over and over again. I've exhausted the bloody bread market, I've eaten every type over the past few weeks. Before this, I couldn't get enough bread, now, don't show me another piece.

Yes! Oven chips are another thing I can happily eat loads of. I'm a bit gutted as I heard that lots of women are able to eat normally again once they're in the second trimester, so it's interesting to hear that it took you until week 20.

You most likely will Smile I have HG for the second time & both pregnancies around 20 weeks, I’m able to go from bread, crackers & mash potato to a semi-normal diet! I’m still not into curries, anything spicy, chicken, chocolate 😭 or anything sweet but I can eat regular meals like spag bol, mild chilli, fish, tuna pasta, soups, sandwiches etc.. and I’m back eating veggies which is a relief!

Just eat what you can, it’s survival when you feel so crappy!

When I was pregnant I went instantly vegetarian before I even knew I was pregnant. I am a major meat eater and love my game etc so this was a real surprise to everyone. I couldn’t go near it at all. We went on holiday when I was 19 weeks pregnant and at the first supper out I ordered a huge platter of bbq ribs, husband sat there with his mouth open after spending the past 3 months trying to encourage me to eat tiny bits of chicken if he cut it small and put it in pasta sauce etc. From the rib moment on I was back to normal eating meat, it was so weird.

It genuinely perplexes me when people like @lookatthebabypenguin bring such a unprovoked and rude tone to a perfectly normal, non offensive chat. It's the opposite of what I will teach my kids in regards to manners and being kind.

OP- I hope you will be tucking into a full Christmas dinner before you know it!

I'm good till 3pm! Then it's a bit of a downwards spiral till bedtime. I was brilliant pregnant with my 3 year old little girl. I'd wake up, spew up violently for a few minutes then be grand for the rest of the day. This time I've had 2x hospital admissions for dehydration as early as 4 weeks pregnant! I feel bloody dreadful most of the time! Mental health took a major nosedive and I was considering extreme measures to stop feeling like this but the medication I've been put on has given me hope Smile
