Hi everyone!
So happy to be posting that I’ve finally had my first ever BFP after over a year of trying - I’m 32 and have PCOS, bought and Ovusense and conceived on the very first month 😊

I just need a bit of advice on dates please. I know it’s usually calculated from the date of your LMP, but due to my PCOS it was actually 23 days from LMP (16th Oct) until I ovulated, 2 weeks ago (7th Nov). So according to all the calculators it’s putting me at 5 weeks, but obviously I know I only conceived 2 weeks ago?!

Also, i’d Like to have an early scan to check everything is okay - should I wait until 6/7 weeks according to the LMP or is it 6/7 weeks from conception?! So confused!

Any advice anyone has would be really appreciated.

Thank you xxx

Congratulations! I'd book the early scan going by your ovulation date otherwise it might be too small to see a heartbeat, to make things less confusing why don't you tell your midwife your lmp was on the 25th Oct so that would match with your ovulation date, so today you'd be 4+1 as you're already 2 weeks pregnant when you conceive

Congratulations!

I have PCOS too and was using digital OPKs when I conceived (I'm 10+2 now). I went for any early scan at 7+6 from LMP (7+1 from ovulation) and they dated me at 8+0. I then went for another scan on Thursday and they dated me at 10+0 which matches my LMP date exactly (despite the fact I know I ovulated 5 days later).

As PP said, I'd wait until you are 7 weeks from ovulation to be sure that a heartbeat can be detected but you may find your GA changes when you're there x
