Risk assessment at work - who fills it in?

Hi
I work for a large organisation where part of their policy is that on notifying HR of pregnancy I must have a risk assessment.
I notified my line manager and HR a month ago and after much chasing from my line manager HR have just sent a risk assessment form over and I’ve been asked to complete it.

Should I be the one who is completing it or should someone else be going through it with me? It’s almost written as though someone else should be completing it. Whilst I can identify risks based on my job activities, I cannot respond to how the organisation will or currently does mitigate any issues that arise based on these.

Has anyone else had to complete their own risk assessment?

Sounds very similar to where I work! When I notified HR my line manager did the risk assessment and it's meant to essentially be updated every trimester or unless things change.

Yep, I completed mine.

I haven't heard of that so that's a strange one!
I told my line manager I was pregnant face to face and then they asked me to pop along to do the risk assessment with them later that day.
It was similar to what you've said, a form with current risks in my role and how they could be alleviated, then what the risk level would be, plus any additional comment.
They'd filled out the form but they just wanted to go through it with me and ask if I had any extra input.
They've just done the first review of it with me where they just asked me if anything had changed. You should get a copy to keep of your own but I wouldn't have thought you would fill it in yourself 🤔

I could understand filling out some bits myself like about my job role what risks I think I’m potentially exposed to but I’ve been asked to complete the whole form including explaining the level of risk and how it would be alleviated by my employer I can suggest how of course but that doesn’t mean they’d do it!
@7Worfs how did you get on filling your own out?

I filled my own in last pregnancy and we went through it after, if I wasn't sure I left it blank. They've forgotten to do one this pregnancy though.

Mine was very basic as it’s an office job - I asked for a new chair and pointed out some tripping hazards.
The rest (lights, noise, desk height etc) was fine.
Check if you need something to put your feet up under the desk.

Basically you need to be physically comfortable.

Third trimester is hard as your bump is in the way, feet swollen...
