Please dont judge me for choosing botox but I've wanted to try it for years and finally went through with it this morning..... literally just found out I'm pregnant.. very early as on my period due monday... have I harmed the baby?

There is zero evidence of Botox EVER causing harm to an unborn baby when administered by accident (most people don't find out they're pregnant straight away). Google it - honestly, you're fine, the reason you can't have it whilst pregnant is an utterly minuscule possible risk.

HavelockVetinari · 21/11/2019 19:19

Oh and @OrangeSwoosh don't be a dick. No need for that.

Goodgollymiss · 21/11/2019 19:29

Tbh I've have history of unexplained fertility issues and have been struggling especially the last couple of years... I look absolutely wrecked..this year I promised myself I would get a little bit of me back and stop excessively symptom spotting, peeing on sticks, saying no to wine etc... I dont know what to say...its not even for vanity purposes really just to feel my age. I actually didnt think that this would be how it would play out

Congratulations, OP!

I know nothing about botox, but it sounds like @HavelockVetinari has your answer. (And ignore @OrangeSwoosh's particularly nasty comment.)

don’t give it any more thought, lots of people do lots of things before finding out they are pregnant and it has no impact - there’s some science logic about the baby hasn’t implanted itself yet that I vaguely remember - I read it then decided not to worry anymore about the bottle of prosecco and 2 cigs I had at 3 weeks + 4 days

Goodgollymiss · 21/11/2019 21:24

Thanks guys ... feeling a little better I guess... in shock mostly

I have Botox for medical reasons and my consultant was fine for me to continue throughout my pregnancy with my DD - and she is absolutely fine! Don’t worry OP Smile

Hi how did it go? I seem to be in the same situation. Feeling quite worried!

BeMorePacific · 28/08/2020 11:39

@MissSonja congratulations 🥳
It’s worth speaking to your midwife about. But it’s very unlikely to have harmed your baby xx

MissSonja · 28/08/2020 14:48

@BeMorePacific Thank you for your quick reply!
I am so worried. I did a test a few days ago, it showed negative. Did botox a day after and as I felt nausea today I did another pregnancy test and it showed out to be positive. I feel so stupid right now. :( I really wouldn't have done it if I thought I was pregnant. Thankful for any advice.

@Goodgollymiss Hey how did it go for you? I assume you have had birth by now? Thanks in advance.
