I feel very PG swollen boobs, sickness tiredness and moody did a PG test yesterday and it is a very fain BFP did another this morning and it is a stronger BFP.

The problem is I have bad back pain mainly on the left side went to the EPU this morning and she did an internal and said everything feels ok (how can they tell ) and did blood test she said it could be a EP if it is what other tests will the do to make sure?

Or has anyone else had horrid back pain but turned out to be something else?

I had back pain early on, as well as abdominal cramps. I had a scan at 5+4 cos I was so wrooied and the doc said everything was exactly where it should be at that stage.
I know it is easier said than done, but try not to worry. xxx

Hi, is it your first pregnancy? I had quite bad back pains and front pains throughout my first, all was well.

When they do an internal, I think they can tell because the cervix softens. Its not a standard procedure anymore but years ago, it was one of the ways they could tell if you were pregnant.

Hope everything is okay for you.

I hate the first few weeks of pregnancy littlesoldier, every twinge panics you. I am sure you will be fine, see if in a couple of weeks you can have an early scan.

Hi Tlsm - you're about as pregnant as me. I've also had some lower back pain - Monday & Tuesday evenings but not today. Yesterday my thighs ached as if I'd done too much exercise. And I've had lots of headaches. I am trying not to worry and I'm taking it easy and not lifting heavy things or doing anything strenuous (usually I ignore my pregnant-state and carry on regardless)!

I hope the scan is OK.

Went back to the EPU today as my back got worse they had a feel and looked at my results and she said that she would be very surprised if it was a EP and would say it was ligiments

Yay! That's good news.

I'm still getting headaches and have been spotting brown blood. I know it's not unusual but it does make me slightly nervous. I hate the first 3 months.

Hi Tlsm, only one more day to wait and you get your scan. Fingers crossed xx

Unfortunately my spotting became a full bleed, I've spoken to my midwife and we think it's all over. I could go to the EPU for a scan but it's an hours drive and I'd have to take my 3DCs of 5, 4 & 2 with me. And tbh I don't think there is much point. We will try again next month and hope for a better outcome. It's my first m/c so hopefully just a blip and not an ongoing problem.

duchess - so sorry to hear that. Your comment about sounding more rational then you feel really strikes a cord with me - I recently miscarried at 7 weeks. My first miscarriage, I have two dds, and however much I try and tell myself that I'm lucky to have two children, I still feel sad, and I feel as though I'll never have a successful pregnancy again.
