A little background, We have been TTC for 18mths for DC2. Finally got our BFP and I'm 12 Weeks today! We haven't told anyone yet due to a loss in June and wanting to wait for the first scan outcome.
Appointment booked for this coming Monday afternoon, DH has had an urgent work matter overseas and essentially flown out this Morning to return next Wednesday.
Understandable he is devastated to miss the scan but unfortunately that's the nature of his work.
My question is, should I go to the scan alone or ask someone to come with Me?
Most of my friends have small Children so would need to organise childcare to attend, my only real option is DM but she would need to take a day off of Work.
What would you do?

Not to scare or worry you but I recieved bad news at my 12 week scan with ds1 and I really wouldn't have wanted to be there alone! The chances are everything will be fine though!

I would take someone with me, unfortunately I'm someone who had had bad news at a 12 week scan and wouldn't want to be alone.

Congratulations and good luck.

I went to pretty much all my scans on my own in my second pregnancy for various reasons. I figured that if the worse was to happen then I’d be ok waiting for DH to get back. Everyone is different though.

Thanks for the replies Ladies, I'm so sorry @Cannyhandleit @Skybooks that's exactly why I'm considering asking DM along for support. Although she's not the best person in difficult situations I guess it's better than to be alone, especially given DH won't be home for a few days too.
