Nausea

Morning!

Has anyone got any hints/tips/tricks to get rid of nausea?

I've not yet been sick luckily. But I feel nauseous all day every day.

I know nausea is the lesser of the two evils but if I can try and combat it, I'm all over it.

TIA

Hello! I'm right there with you although I have been sick too 😫 but the constant nausea is awful! The thing that seems to help me so far is ice lollies - my freezer is full of them! Drinking ice cold water too
They say ginger for pregnancy sickness but I cant stand the stuff!=

I would rather be sick than feel constantly feel sick (which like you, I am).

I tried sea bands, ginger, peppermint tea and mints, you namen it, I've tried it. Doctor ended up prescribing me cyclizine as I couldn't eat or sleep due the nausea but that didn't help either.

Despite it being the last thing I want to do, eating is the only thing that helps me, little and often. Carbs usually do the trick (but only for a short while then I have to eat again). Lost 3.5lb the week my nausea started and have since gained it back plus a couple extra due to the continuous grazing.

I'm 10 weeks tomorrow and hoping that the end I'd in sight, it's been hell.

@CoffeeAndCarbs @MooChops89 someone at work said to me salt & vinegar crisps. They actually worked but I feel that's a very slippery slope 😂

Preferably something that doesn't affect my already growing waist line lol

I wrote a similar thread a week or so ago - I felt dreadful and was prescribed cyclazine ... it really helped! However, turns out it was the beginning of the delightful norovirus so thankfully I have been able to stop taking them now although I'll keep them incase it ever returns :)

Other than that nothing helped at all - a nice strong smell such as essential oils took my mind off it though for a few moments 😁

Eating little and often helps me. Always seem to feel sick in the evenings at about 5pm. Have to eat to stop feeling sick but eating makes me feel sick. A vicious circle really!! Trying to eat relatively healthy to grt my nutrients but it's not happening yet before pregnancy I always ate healthy!

@GingerRH if salt and vinegar crisps work for you then buy a multipack and munch away! Don't feel too bad, we have to eat what we can when we can at this stage. It's better to eat something than nothing. We can always make up for it in the second trimester when (hopefully) the nausea has long gone x
