Scan at 13 weeks told it was a boy

Hi everyone so I had a scan at 13 weeks and as you do you can’t help but ask if they can see what it is she then said she would have a look but it’s hard to tell at 13 weeks.

Anyway long story short she did the ‘potty shot’ and me and my husband said oh wow it’s clearly a boy and I said I had a feeling it was a boy! She never told us just let us say it, now we have been to see my specialist today and she told us that should could have been wrong and the lady doing the scan should never have done it! Me and hubby are clearly worried now as we have gone out and got boys stuff lol

Anyone else had this same problem?

They have a surprisingly high accuracy rate. I got 30 odd replies when I posted mine, all saying boy. He was a boy.

Hi, at 13weeks little girls have a nub too which becomes the clitoris so that’s why they can’t say for sure.
At 13 wk my LO had a sizeable nub and sonographer said probably boy but couldn’t say for sure. She was right.

At 13 weeks girls and boys look the same. Sounds like you bought a private scan and are looking for excuses to demand a refund to me

There are differences to boy and girl scans at 13 weeks though
