Anti D Injection

Morning!

I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant with my first child, my blood type is O negative and my child’s blood results came back as positive blood type.

I had my anti D injection at 28 weeks but I had a bit of spotting at the weekend (me and baby are okay) so had another anti D injection just incase. My second anti D injection was done at a different hospital as I was away for the weekend.

There is something playing on my mind about the injections. The first injection was into my blood vine on my arm after the midwife had taken my bloods and the second one was into my muscle on my arm. On the NHS website it says it should be into muscle. I have a midwife appointment on a week and a half, so will ask then.

But I was wondering what other people’s experiences are of having the anti D injection, anyone else had it straight into there blood system?

Always had mine into a muscle (3 kids so had quite a few!)

I've had 3 injections now. I'm only 24 weeks along so haven't had the bigger dosage at 28 weeks yet but all the injections I have received so far have been into the muscle at the top of my arm.
