I’m 39+4 weeks, and I will call my midwife about this, but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced it.
So whenever I go to the toilet for a wee, which is a lot at the moment, a bit will come out, then it’ll stop and I’ll get some pain at the bottom of my bump, so pelvic area I think? Not sure what it’s called. The pain stays for a bit, and then the rest of the urine comes in a big gush and the pain eases. Has anyone else experienced this, or know what it is? I asked my mum and she seems to think it’s just the baby squashing my bladder but I thought I’d ask on here if anyone else knows. I’ll definitely still call my midwife to make sure, but I wanted to ask people with more experience too, as I have no experience having babies, this is my first!

sounds like baby squashing your bladder, rock backwards and forwards on toilet. that's what I got told to do.

get ya wee checked just in case of uti but it sounds like baby sitting low and squashing your bladder.

(I also get this often, funnily, I don't get it during night when ive been laid on my side n moved baby off, I get up in night and have full comfortable wee's) x

When it happens, try standing up and squating over the loo, leaning forward a bit. It should help move baby off your bladder so you can empty your bladder properly. I definitely have to do this otherwise it’s sore or I need another pee five minutes after going. Blush

Deffinately sounds normal im just 30 weeks and been having this for a while. Baby pressed against bladder so your not emptying your bladder enough. As other pp has said try rock back and forth x
