About two weeks ago started being woken up with severe pain in left groin I Went to midwife and she said I had a lot of white blood cells and protein in urine. I was prescribed quite a high dose of anti biotics for it and some strong pain killers which at times have had me rather high. Yesterday I woke up at normal morning time feeling exhausted I then slept for the rest of the day got up at 4 then back at 8 to sleep all the way through till 7 this morning the pain is still there it's dull but the extreme pain has had me up in night again and can make my hairs stand on end. I have been taking antiobiotics for a week now what I'm wondering is would they have worked by now if they were going to as I'm depending on pain relief atm??

Wondered if anyone had experience of this? Think I'm going to go back today

Baby is fine and kicking well x

If after a week of antibiotics it’s not improved please go back to GP. It might mean that the particular bug is resistant to that particular antibiotic and you therefore need a different one. Only a GP can tell you.

Good luck Flowers

My midwife has always told me if it becomes painful or it's making me feel sick to call my maternity triage or go in and see the maternity triage as they will want to access me as it might be you also need a drip and drip antibiotics so call them asap
