I have had problems with my back for a few weeks now and at first thought it was sciatica but i have been told by my midwife that its sacroiliac.
I have called in sick at work but they need a sick note by thursday if its still no better.
Ive never had a sick note before and dont know if they are easy to get or if its easier when you are pregnant.

your GP should sort one out for you
if you are sick (pregnant or not) you should be able to get one without any fuss

i had a gp pressing one into my hand even though i said i didn't need it.

Your Gp will be able to sort you one out. The HV can arrange for one to be done, via a doctor, too.

My GP gave me several sick notes throughout my pregnancy, so I think so!

How far gone at you? If you're off work because of your pregnancy in the four weeks before the expected birth date, your employer can make you start your maternity leave.
