Diarrhea

I have Diarrhea and have been think it may be from eggs. I think it's getting better and will likely be gone in next couple of days completely, according to nhs. I'm now extremely worried as I've recently found out my wife's pregnant. I'm sleeping in the spare room and bleaching the toilet each time but I'm so worried that she's going to get it and I'm worried this might cause miscarriage. Please help! Has anyone else been through this?

She can't catch food poisoning from you?

Yeah I know that but now I have Diarrhea... surely there's a chance (god forbid) that she might get ill or infected.

Unfortunately you can catch food poisoning, it's difficult because it's not airborne but it is possible. You are doing everything right, keep cleaning up after yourself and wash you hands often. Don't share drinks and avoid kissing for a day or two. Mostly though, don't panic. You can still get ill when pregnant with not negative effects on the baby. Hope you feel better soon OP

@Wanderer1 thanks.. I'm probably a bit paranoid too as first time and want a healthy pregnancy with no major concerns along the way... obviously still a chance of bad news but can only do our best
