I am having the exact same pregnancy I did with my daughter, spots, grumpy, wanting sugar .. the only Difference I’ve put weight on quicker is that because it’s my second child? Need opinions everyone.. you all think girl too? How was your pregnancies?

Absolutely no indication

All three of my pregnancies have been differrnt and im on my 3rd boy. Different cravings, different symptoms, etcc. I wouldn't read anything into it tbh as cravings etc dont mean nothing its just basically what you fancy and every pregnancy is different x

Nothing to do with it, sadly. Every pregnancy is different. Not to be unkind but I get eye-rolly when people try to 'predict' the sex. It's 50/50 and there are no signs apart from penis or vagina

virginpinkmartini · 14/11/2019 10:48

For instance, I'm pregnant with my second son, and the pregnancies are vastly different in terms of symptoms.

Currently 37 weeks with my DD, that was the case with me. I've wanted sweets and chocolate throughout my whole pregnancy! Same with friends who have had girls as well

Bol87 · 14/11/2019 11:01

I have had very similar symptoms with my second & I’m having a second girl.. I’ve had more severe Hyperemesis this pregnancy but I did have it last time as well. I’ve gone off the same foods & wanted the same ones as well. I go totally off sweet foods with my girls though..! Which I think is against the old wives tale!

RowenaMud · 14/11/2019 11:03

I craved vegetables with my first child. I craved chips with my second. Same gender. I piled on weight with my second and looked heavily pregnant at six months due to looser muscles and my body type.

userabcname · 14/11/2019 11:06

I had two totally different pregnancies and two boys so I don't think symptoms mean much in terms of the baby's sex.

starlightmagic · 14/11/2019 11:08

This is my first pregnancy and I’ve been craving sweet things, I’m normally a savoury person! I am having a girl, it may be a coincidence or 🤷‍♀️

keepingbees · 14/11/2019 11:33

For me I craved savoury with my boy and sweet with my girl. But it's going to be different for every person and pregnancy so see it as a bit of fun guessing :)

MrsEG · 14/11/2019 15:30

I craved Haribo and fizzy sweets more than anything in my first trimester and I’m carrying twin boys!! I think there’s a lot of old wives tales :)

The faster weight gain is probably because you are eating more earlier in this pregnancy. You might look bigger because your abs are looser. But craving sweets / carbs etc has nothing to do with gender.

Thank you everyone

I had 6 boys, 1 girl and also miscarried a girl and had different cravings with most of my pregnancies (with DS5 & DD I needed lots of orange juice).

The biggest opposite were my first 2 boys, with DS1 I needed lots of salty & savoury foods, with DS2 it was all about sugar.
I don't think cravings can predict sex of child at all.
