Those of you who have had a 4D scan - did you think it was worth the money and at what week did you go? Were the images you got of your babies face quite clear?

I've booked mines for 28 weeks, which is only 5 weeks time! Can't wait!

I had one at 28 weeks last time & I loved it Smile So cool to see baby & I loved watching her yawn and move her arms around.

It was just a nice bridging scan between 20 weeks & birth for me. Not the cheapest but it was in our budget.

The images were fairly clear although obviously it’s not an exact science and so limbs & the umbilical cord kept getting in the way a bit! They scan centre we went too were fab & sent us off for a walk and gave me a small can of coke! They had a stash of those diddy cans for mums with uncooperative babies Grin Baby shifted a bit by the time I came back & we got a few more shots!

Go for it Smile

We had two in the end as the couldn’t get good photos from the first. Loved it! The photos were awful but the experience was amazing.

Our baby was so ugly in ours - looked like a chicken nugget - that DH and I got the giggles. We then had to choose x5 printed pictures and a key ring. We thought we'd found a good one but dh had accidentally clicked out of the folder and into another persons scan pics.

It was worth it for a bit of fun but not massively worth the money

Have had a few. Love the experience but always disappointed with the pictures!

Ours was not worth the money but that wasn't due to the ultrasound or the sonographer but due to our DD holding hand over her face and firmly refusing to move and let us see her. :)

Here is mine at 30 weeks! They're amazing. She only wanted to show half a face though due to cord being in the way 😂

fonxey · 18/11/2019 09:12

Yes, we loved is although she at first refused to move her head and was hiding behind the cord. I had to go walkabouts, drink plenty and then come back.

However a friend of mine went 3 times (once at Window to the womb who gave her 4 goes but on the same day and then to Babybond/ultrasound-direct who scanned her one day and invited her back again in a couple of days time for advise scan at no extra charge.). And all 3 times she got no decent pictures!

Worth the money if your baby plays ball. It's lovely seeing their little face. I was 28 weeks too.

I as one at 28 weeks as it was my first baby so really excited. When I had the baby I could see the resemblance but before I’d met baby it was kind of hard to tell what she’d look as they aren’t that clear and I could see her eyes. think I’ll bother with the next one.
