22w appointment

Ladies, just a quick question to ask what the midwife will do at my 22w appointment? My OH likes to come to the scans etc, and he was wondering if he should come to this app with me?

I am not fussy either way, but just wondered what they actually do as I don't want to take him along if people don't normally take OH's with them! (I'm guessing it might also be down to personal preference?)

They didn't do much at mine, just the usual blood pressure & urine. My DH has only been to my booking appointment and then any scans I've had. Honestly, they're not worth taking time out of work, unless they don't work/are off at the time then I suppose there's no harm?

@Andersonx3 my other friend told me they listen to heartbeat etc, and we haven't heard that since the 16w private scan so just thought if they do that he might be a little sad he missed out on that even if it is only for a few seconds.

He never came to the booking app with me as I knew that was just a whole load of questions and not much happening. It's later on, 4.20pm and we have our own business and he's usually finished by then with the cold weather at this time of year so it won't be putting him out - so I guess no harm done!

Apart from booking app & Scans my oh doesnt come to other appointments as they are just short and standard appointments. They will test your urine, blood pressure, listen to baby measure your bump (depending how far you are) and its pretty much the same at every app xx

@boymummy3 I'll probably take him to this one only and then none of the other midwife apps (unless a scan) or let him decide! we have our private 4d scan booked for 5 weeks time anyways x

My oh only doesnt come as he is either at work or looking after our youngest whilst i go.. but obviousally its individual preference if your oh can be there then why not :) xx
