Scared to do a test

Hi all. I have a happy healthy 3 and a half year old. I am one of 2, my partner one of 4. I always wanted 2 children. We have been trying to tv number 2 for 2 and a half years and have just started tests from the doctor to see if there’s an issue. My partner is working away, I’ve just realised my period is 2 weeks late. We have been moving house so have lost track a bit. I’m terrified to take a test, my periods are regular, but I know I’ll be devastated if it’s negative. I 37, so worried the lack of period is something else. Any thoughts appreciated x

Have you had any symptoms other than late period? I'd suggest doing a test cause it'll all you'll be thinking about until you do so it's best to know either way. Good luck xxx

No other symptoms. I know I need to test but if it’s negative I’ll be devastated.

I’m not sure what advice you need here. You know you need to do a test. No amount of sympathy for what may not be will change that. The likelihood is you are pregnant. So good luck and do what you know you need to do

I hope you get the result you want.
I think I would test if I were you.
Even if you aren't pregnant, it doesn't necessarily mean there is a problem.
Fingers crossed for a bfp!
