Mat pay : allowance

I work for nhs and have started mT leave, however when I need mat allowance to top me up does my employer sort it or is it something else I need to apply for

Did you apply for Statutory maternity pay? If you dont qualify for SMP then you apply for Maternity Allowance

Do you qualify for SMP and occupational maternity pay? If so, you should have given your employee your matb1 form and they will pay you.

If you don't qualify for the above, your employer should have given you a SMP1 form and you can apply for maternity allowance.

Sorry yes I did give them a matb1 and it will be smp sorry got wrong thing so will work sort x
