Absolutely zero leakage - should I be concerned?

No? I only leaked 4 days after birth for a week (I didn't breastfeed)

Falafel19 · 12/11/2019 22:33

Nope, no need for concern. Some women leak, some women don't, it means nothing just different bodies, no indication of milk supply.

ameliathomas84 · 12/11/2019 22:33

I never leaked with my first two pregnancy's longest I went thou was 37 weeks! This pregnancy leaking very small amounts now and again 35 weeks x

AllTheProsecco · 12/11/2019 22:33

Nope! I've never leaked and currently feeding 7 month old DS. No issues with supply.

whywhywhy6 · 12/11/2019 22:35

I had none and couldn’t breastfeed. And it was still ok x

Maryann1975 · 12/11/2019 22:36

No, no need to be concerned. I didn’t notice any colostrum during pg and I fed my 3 dc until their second birthdays.

DramaAlpaca · 12/11/2019 22:37

I had no leakage during pregnancy at all and had no trouble breastfeeding.

HotSince82 · 12/11/2019 22:38

No, I didn't have any until post birth and sucessfully fed all five of my babies for between three and eleven months each, no problems with supply.

AnneLovesGilbert · 12/11/2019 22:39

I didn’t have a drop before. Colostrum came in after birth (EMCS) then changed to milk on day 5 and still feeding at nearly 8 months. We’re all different Smile

Thank you wonderful ladies, you have put my overly anxious mind at ease. Star x

I didn't leak once but was lucky enough to find bf easy and bf until dd was about 15 months.

Leakage means nothing in relation to bf and supply etc ime.

OP, in the last few weeks of pregnancy the things I spent sleepless nights worrying about would equally appall and amuse you Grin

Try to enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and best of luck with everything. Anything that you’re worrying about others will have worried about too so do ask on here if it’ll put your mind at rear. If you’re concerned about getting feeding up and running and it doesn’t happen straight away you can ask for the lactation consultant to come and see you in the hospital.

Your baby will have a tiny stomach for a while and they don’t need much at a time. Definitely have contacts of support groups local to you to hand and ask for help from the midwives and lactation support staff if you want feeding support.
