Hair dye/highlights

Hi,
So I’m 7weeks pregnant with my first child. My hair is a total mess - I’ve booked an appointment to get my hair highlighted/low lighted this Saturday coming. I’m reading lots of conflicting information, some say it’s fine others say you need to be 12weeks before colouring your hair. Can anyone verify what’s right and what’s wrong ?

NHS says you may want to wait until after the first 12 weeks but doesnt say you have to. Highlights dont touch the scalp so would be less of a risk anyway. Pregnancy can change the way your hair reacts so be aware of that too
