I'm 31+6 with second baby. Last night I had very severe period cramps with back pain which took hours to go but I eventually got to sleep. Woke up this morning and was fine until around 11am when they started up again this time more intense. I phoned the midwives and got sent to the delivery suite at hospital for some checks. During the checks they could clearly see the contractions so the dr decided to do a speculum check (cervix was fine) and the Fetal fibronectin year which came back negative. I've got no infections etc but they just can't explain the contractions as they don't believe them to be Braxton hicks. Has anyone had anything similar and still actually been in early labour?
