It took 4 people for a breast exam

Yesterday afternoon I had went to my obgyn/ specialist because I've been having painful leaking breasts non stop. And before I go any further I did test and i got three faint positives on different tests. But I went in they asked me my last period and asked me if I still was taking my birth control that I stopped in June and they made me pee in a cup because clearly I'm not. Four people walk in the exam room two were people in training and the test were doctors and I have my boobs out I front of strangers I've never been anxious about that before but I wasn't comfortable at all. I'm happy it was not a vaginal exam because that would have set me over the top. But after the exam and the violating experience and them squeezing the shit out of my nipples, I get blood work because they were worried and kept asking to check my prolactin, LH, thyroid and a bunch of other stuff that has to do with pregnancy and I've been using the obgyn for years they always tell me my pregnant test results, they didn't they whispered outside the door and then a whole bunch of people walked in... now I must wait and I bet it won't even be worth the pain In my arm from the girl who did my labs she didn't get my vein all the way. I'm so confused and worried why they'd do that. I've also been throwing up a 3/7 days of the week, I have these headaches that feel like brain freeze and backaches like crazy and no cramps just pains in my sides and I cannot stop sleeping. I wish they were just upfront because if I knew none of that went my way I would've tested myself again with another pregnancy test instead of waiting and peeing in a cup but I was also told they wanted to send my pee to the lab can someone please explain ? I've never went through this before I never even had breast pain before until a couple months ago

Sounds like an odd way to treat you.

I saw my GP about leaking breasts before I got pregnant. She examined them and sent me for blood tests. The examination and blood tests didn't find anything so it was put down as just 'one of those odd things'. I'm now pregnant and had bad boob ache for a while but it's settled a bit this week.

Try getting an appointment with someone else; perhaps a GP? You deserve someone that makes you feel comfortable and explains what is going on.

Hope everything is ok Thanks

Thank you. And I'm gonna start where I live there's not many options

That was very confusing to read. Are you in the US?

Honeybee85 · 13/11/2019 02:24

Confusing to read indeed. Did you feel like they invaded your privacy and had no respect for your fysical boundaries as a patient?
In that case I’d make a complaint. You have the right to be treated with some dignity and it really pisses me off when I hear how easily women’s boundaries are violated so often.

They would have asked you for permission for the trainees. At any point you could have said no. The speaking privately was probably just going over aspects of the examinations and asking them about specifics. Not unusual to refer to the lab if more detailed tests needed.
You had three positive pregnancy tests but are not pregnant? And have a lot of other symptoms? I think additional tests are a good thing. I’m guessing you went to the them to find out what is going on, and they are working on finding out.
Good luck with the test results.

a confusing read.i think you’re in the US. You can no to the training people-they should have asked you

My phone screen is very cracked and I'm not due for an upgrade for a week or two but yeah I'm in the US and they didn't ask me permission AT ALL. And I don't know if I'm genuinely pregnant because I've had a false positive where the actual line was there but I was going crazy the past two month because the lore I tested the darker they got...
