Hi everyone, i'm going for an early scan at nine weeks on Wednesday, and i have myself up the walls!

I just read a study that said that not having morning sickness can be a bad sign.

I don't think i've had anything like morning sickness, the odd time i've dry retched, but over nothing in particular. I don't really have any food aversions.

I have sore nipples when i touch them, i usually wouldn't be very sensitive. I also feel tired. I have a bit of constipation and
sometimes feel wet down below thinking it's going to be blood but it's just a bit of thin discharge, and i have the odd heart palpitation. Are these pregnancy symptoms or do most people have nausea and puking as the main symptom. Ugh, the worry is a nightmare...

I didn't have any symptoms at 9 weeks so try not to worry - everyone is different! I went for an early scan at 9 weeks because I was worried like you and I found out it was twins and now they're perfectly healthy babies. Good luck!

I'm currently 23+5 and I have been sick once in my entire pregnancy. And this was caused by being very thorough whilst brushing my tongue Grin I've been very lucky not suffering with sickness, so maybe you'll be the same

By 'brushing my tongue' I mean cleaning it with a toothbrush. It's not hairy, promise.

Generally it's accepted that whilst having morning (anytime) nausea is a 'good' sign in that it suggests the hormones are present, the converse is NOT true. Plenty of (lucky) women sail through early pregnancy symptomless so don't worry!

I didnt have any symptoms untill third trimester with my 1st. And then it was only heartburn x

justchecking1 · 11/11/2019 19:45

I've had 2 babies and never had morning sickness. It's not necessarily a bad thing

elliemcx · 11/11/2019 20:33

thanks ladies. Dr Google is not my friend today. Fingers crossed for Wednesday so, i'll post back after the scan.

Worst thing you can do is google things. It will bring up worse case scenarios. X

GingerRH · 11/11/2019 21:43

At what point do people stop checking for blood when they go to yeh toilet, asking for a friend 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

LLMD · 11/11/2019 21:55

@GingerRH I did it every time I pee’d for the whole pregnancy Hmm

Spam88 · 11/11/2019 22:07

I haven't had any sickness in either of my pregnancies. Only symptom I had that early on was an inability to stay awake whilst watching tv.

elliemcx · 13/11/2019 11:23

my scan went well, strong heartbeat. So delighted!!! Will probably be worried again in about two days time Grin

I am 10 weeks and am the same. Have had 2 scans due to bleeding and baby was fine.

Weeks 5-9 I did feel nauseous if I hadnt eaten but not terrible. Now feel fine apart from being tired, and boobs are tender. Feel quite well actually!

But I am stressing a little about the lack of morning sickness too.
