How close am I to labour?

So all yesterday, I kept feeling tiny achy pains, I felt nauseous all day even though I was eating as normal, and (bit gross) I felt as if I needed to have a poo or a huge fart, but I couldn’t. For the whole day I felt like I was on my period again! It wasn’t very nice. I’ve had a few pains this morning, and a very sharp one as my baby’s head got even lower, which has been the worst one yet out of those, it made me cringe and I had to hold on to my partner’s arm for support!
Are these signs I’m close to labour? And if so, any idea how close it is? I’m not 40 weeks yet, (38+5) but I feel like I’m really close to the end of it. It’s my first pregnancy too, so I have no idea what to expect at all!

It’s very hard to tell, this could stop or be labor.

Keep active as much as you can, using the big ball to sit on would be great.

Good luck

No one can tell you tbh its different for everyone. Could just be your body getting ready but doesnt mean you will go into labour anytime soon x

Somewhere between 3 hours and 3 weeks.

Mine was borderline 4 days after that started. Active labour was less than half an hour.

Unfortunately labour starting is a piece of string length question :(
