Hi there,

I'm fairly new to mumsnet so apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place.

Yesterday I missed my pill without realising me and my SO then DTD and it wasnt until today (the following morning) i realised i hadn't taken my pill. Is it likely I could be pregnant or any suggestions on what I should do please?

Thanks so much.

Yes, it is likely but also depends on where you are on your cycle, for ie. if you are just about to get your period then very unlikely but if you are mid cycle to will be much more likely...

If you are worried, go and speak to a pharmacist. I did when I had missed a pill. In my case she told me it was fine. I'm pretty sure you will be too, but it can set your mind at rest.

As it's the mini pill and missing any is a risk then you'd be best taking the morning after pill. There is different advice for the combined pill

What should I do if I miss a pill of Cerazette?

If you forget to take a pill at your usual time, take it as soon as you remember. (If you missed more than one pill just take the last one you missed.) Take your next pill at your normal time. This may mean taking two pills together - this is not harmful.

If you are less than 12 hours latetaking a pill you are still protected and don't need to use extra contraception.

⏰ If you are more than 12 hours late taking a pill you won't be protected against pregnancy. You should either not have sex, or use an extra barrier method of contraception (egcondoms) for the next two days, while you continue to take your pills as normal. If you've had unprotected sex in this time you'll need to takethe morning after pillto avoid pregnancy. Ask your doctor, pharmacist or local family planning clinic for advice.

I don't get periods with my cerazette pill so I have no idea of my cycle. Thank you though! Think I'll visit boots after the school run and speak to the pharmacist 😅

I never got periods with it either as it can stop ovulation. Yes I'd see a pharmacist
