How do I ease "morning" sickness???

I was 7 weeks a couple days ago and I thought I'd escaped the morning sickness as I had been okay since and my mother never suffered from it. BUT yesterday.. all day at work I felt so rough and nauseous. I've gone off my usual morning coffee and the thought of it repulses me. I didn't think something I enjoyed so much could have this much effect on me. I've been waking up in the night with a bad tummy and feeling nauseous but haven't actually been sick. Was alleviated by having some pineapple juice and a cracker but all day today I've felt so rough not being able to even go in a restaurant because of the smell. What has people done, used or ate to help with the sickness. I have bought some ginger biscuits and I wear acupressure bands but no luck so far :((( x

Eating little and often. Don’t allow your stomach to get empty. Avoid (as much as you can) the things which make you feel sick. Sucking boiled type sweets. It’s grim but will pass (hopefully) by 12-14 weeks.

Hi hun congrats on the pregnancy!
I’m 32 weeks today, my sickness lingered until 16 weeks it was horrendous I tried everything!!! Sucking sugar free mints helped and hard boiled sweets! Cucumber seemed to really help aswell, I steered clear of fizzy drinks and caffeine all together, still can’t really enjoy a coffee now!
Also taking naps, I found when I got really tired my sickness got worse!
Hope this helps! X

The only thing I found that helped was eating ginger oat cakes once an hour...

Ask your doc for anti sickness tablets if it carries on or becomes intolerable

Do check what vitamins you’re on :). A few branded ones have extra iron and that can make sickness worse....

Have a snack ready by your bed to eat just before you get out of bed.

Get medication from your gp.

for me: eating every 2 hours, drinking ice cold fizzy water, being outdoors, walking & swimming helped! I found it useful to have fruit and fruit juice on hand cos often it's low blood sugar that kick starts the nausea and then you can have some juice to give you a little sugar boost while you're preparing real food. Apart from the juice I ate mostly bland beige carbs, lots of chicken sandwiches and baked potatoes.

Frustratingly the most effective cure by far was cigarette smoke...... I managed to be good and not actually smoke any but a few times I'd walk past someone smoking and take a couple of deep breaths and then have no nausea for the next hour! Very annoying
