Hi I am in early pregnancy between 5-7weeks and work in a restaurant, they have had damp areas under stairs and also rats recently and after finishing shift the other day, just finishing clearing up no customers left just staff I was distraught when i suddenly could smell fumes - then realised in one part of the building they had begun fumigating without telling me!!! Then they realised staff were still in the building so said we could leave! Some staff like the manager stayed in the building building but the fumigation staff had masks on I believe. Now I’m panicking - what have I been exposed to/what damage will it cause?! I have asked my manager for details of what they were spraying and he said not to worry it was just like a strong air freshner?! And is not providing specific details of what the fumigation company was spraying even though I have repeatedly asked. I am so worried I could try with anger that this has happened to me. Any advice?
