2 under 2 pram advice!

Hi everyone.
I am currently pregnant with my 2nd child and will have 2 under 2..
there will be 22 months between my children.

We currently have the mima xari pram. I'm wondering if anyone knows if this can be transitioned for 2 children? I've been searching online and saw the "mima kobi" appears to be the mima brand version of a double pram. But very little info on my pram or if adapters can be fitted to make it suitable for 2!

Really don't want to buy a new pram to be honest!
My little girl hates the pram and would prefer to run wild Hmm but I would always want the option for her to have a seat when we are out and about!

Any mima xari advice or cheaper pram recommendations if I have to buy?

Also any mums of 2 under 2- did you find you used a sling for newborn baby and pram for your eldest!?

Thanks! Smile

Hey! I know you're not keen to buy a new pram but if you decide to then I'd really recommend the icandy peach.

I got one second hand (sold my single bugaboo and used the cash from that sale) there were loads available second hand when I was looking

It's really easy to use and easy to clean and can be used as a single or a double so ideal for down the line when you just need a pram for your youngest or if you're only taking one baby out. There's YouTube videos with demonstrations on how to put it all together and dismantle etc.

There are quite a few parts to it so a bit of a pain if you don't have much storage but all of the parts fit into my small car boot together A ok.

As for a sling - yep they're very handy to have especially for around the house particularly during my 21 months old's mealtimes or if they're both being fussy at the same time and she's wanting cuddles.

Hi,

There's 18 months between our two. For the first few months baby was in a sling and then we got a buggy board and just attached it to the pushchair. My eldest would just stand on it when she needed a rest.

This suited us, as like you I didn't want to buy another pushchair and my toddler much prefers walking to sitting in a pushchair. If we are going out for longer trips then my husband will have my toddler in a stroller and i will have the baby in the pushchair.

Bit more of a gap between my tow, but my plan is to use carrier and pram and also get a buggy board

22 month gap as well and I used a double for over a year because DC1 still napped at least 90 minutes, we were out all day every day and walked everywhere. I'm a big sling fan too but couldn't have managed without the double buggy.

Thanks ladies! I will definitely have my hands full soon! Lol

The sling sounds like it will be a life saver around the house and out and about!

@neverornow thanks! I had a browse on google there and saw some second hand.. would actually be tempted to sell by pram and buy the Icandy peach- I do love my current pram but can see the icandy working better for us! And they're not as bulky as some of the prams I had been researching!

Great advice Grin xx

We had a 20 month gap and I ended up with a secondhand baby jogger double. It was hands down the best thing I bought, but my oldest is incredibly lazy and was happy to sit in a pram still, he wasn't reliable enough to walk or go on a buggy board but he didn't walk at all until 18 months.

DS2 hated every sling I tried so that wasn't an option for us.
