Gender scan wrong

16 week gender scan has told me girl but didn’t see anything, what are your thoughts?

It's 50% odds it is a girl

You didn't see anything or the sonographer said they couldn't see and weren't sure?

You'll be getting your 20w scan in a few weeks anyway so you can have it checked there.

@Stephlouise93 do you mean they didn't see the vulva or couldn't see a penis? It's pretty clear if it's a girl generally

Not much you can do but wait really. You could see if they will be able to check at the 20 week anomaly scan but if not I'm not sure it's worth paying more money for a private scan.

What do you mean you couldn’t see anything? There’s nothing to really see from a girl. I had a 16 week scan and the it’s a girl bit came from 3 white lines between the legs. At my 20 week NHS scan, he zoomed in a bit more to check and def girl parts! They were clearly formed

If the sonographer wasn’t sure, just hang on until 20 weeks and you can get it double checked!

Does it really matter as long as your baby is healthy?
