Pains in Pregnancy...

Hello Smile

I'm five weeks pregnant and I've been getting pain around my lower abdomen on both sides. It's a sharp twinge every now and again which is quite uncomfortable, making me move position. I've been getting cramps every so often too.

I don't know if I'm stressing over nothing, but has anyone else ever experienced this? We've been TTC for around a year and I'm so worried in case anything goes wrong.

Op I had the same until around 11 weeks then it eased off and started again around 15 weeks. It's probably round ligament pain because everything is stretching to prepare for baby. If you're worried you should speak to your midwife x

Ah I'm glad someone else has experienced it. Thank you, I've got an appointment in a couple of weeks but I might try and get one sooner x

I had horrendous cramps the day my AF was due so I kept running to check but nothing came of it 🙈. Cramps and being uncomfortable carried on for a little bit too so I wouldn't worry too much but definitely mention it to your midwife when you see them just to be sure. Just a lot of growing and stretching to be done!
It doesn't always get any better either I'm afraid 😂, I'm 25 now and if I move too quickly or in a certain way I get a horrible sharp pain.

@emjadex I just found out I am pregnant , 5 weeks also, been having mild cramping for the last 3 weeks I would say, today particularly more than just mild. I know it can be worrying that something is up... But from what info I have been gathering -it's totally normal, as little one is making itself some space down there 🥰

Thank you all for being so reassuring! I'll definitely mention it to the midwife too, but I'm hoping to might have lessened a little by then 🙊
