Getting a new one started before we are full! I’ll go back now and add people - answering everyone’s last posts here!!

@MrsR16 Nesting sounds like a good idea! Our house is such a mess at the moment mid-decorating and I cant wait for it all to be done so I can tidy!!

@BabySquid Fabulous bump! Glad you had such a brilliant time. I’m starting to think that pain sleeping is all just part and parcel of being pregnant now! At my yoga class everyone complains of it!

@Tropicana1 I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about!

@purplefig Yeah it was amazing to hear! Apparently IVF twins are more likely to be small but she never explained why. But yeah, induction is less likely for growth - it could still be needed for other reasons but it’s nice to have one of them off the list! How are you feeling, sleeping any better?

@ELW85 I did sleep a little bit better! I still woke up about 4:30 but slept all the way from 10 til then which is amazing! I feel like I’m slowly getting used to just being tired now! Glad you managed a better sleep!

@PippaPug Glad you got the radiator sorted! Yeah I’m amazed at how care changes from place to place but I think the main thing is as long as someone is seeing us at least once a month then that’s great!! How have you been feeling? I’m 24+4 today and really starting to feel uncomfortable now. My bump measured approx 32 weeks yesterday!! 32!!! She thinks they must be lying all at the front.

@cupcakesandglitter From doing some googling I think at the 28 week appt they’ll more start telling me what I can and can’t do in the birth - like start laying out all of my options? So I’m not gonna worry too much and wait to see what they say! My only ‘preference’ is everyone arrives happy and healthy and all are safe and well! I love the bong haha - how are you feeling today?

@ELW85 sounds like a lovely day. I'm doing good thank you loving being able to keep food down and enjoy it! Went for dinner last night and watched the new Bad Boys.
We don't get to tour the birthing suite we have to watch an online video!

Can totally understand how you feel about the worry of less movement I was so worried Thursday. I'm sure midwives wouldn't mind checking you again.

@MrsEG is it really 2 weeks until you meet your beautiful boys?!

cupcakesandglitter · 18/01/2020 18:01

@MrsR16 definitely trying - I don't enjoy being pregnant for the most part BUT I already know I'm going to miss it once she's here. I love being able to do everything with her and talk to her all day 🥰

@purplefig the door is the second from the left, it's currently on the opposite side of the room but hopefully will be moved at the end of Reno so I can put all the cabinets in! I think we're going for gloss white cabinets and a grey concrete worktop, however I'm still pretty undecided. I'd love a dark colour kitchen but because we're opening the rooms up I want as much light as possible in there - plus we hopefully won't be here within the next ten years and so would rather put my dream kitchen in our forever home! Glad you enjoyed yoga 😊 I don't know what we're doing! My MIL works at the hosp I'm giving birth in so have a feeling she'll "pop in" (she's already mentioned this once) and if I tell my mum I reckon she'll turn up at the hospital too (and more than likely cause a drama if she's not let in) I'm hoping I have a fast labour and then can just tell them after 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

@MrsEG awww I'm sure you'll know them, my brothers had different coloured hair (and still do!) so that made it easier to recognise number 1/2 😂 have you got anything you want to get done before they're here or is it just a case of relaxing and waiting now? X

Hey @kittiekath congratulations 🥳 xx

Aww look at that growing bump @mrsh497 🥰 getting the room cleared is the hardest part I think! 😂

Aww @elw85 I'd say call your midwife if you're still feeling anxious about it - every time I've gone in Smidge starts kicking away and I feel so stupid BUT it's worth the piece of mind and reassurance. Glad you've felt something today though but don't put it off if it's going to put you at ease x

My 29w bump pic attached!! Counting down to next week, why is pregnancy flying by now?!

ELW85 · 18/01/2020 18:13

@MrsH497 - ooh what was the new Bad Boys film like? Sounds like a great night out!

@cupcakesandglitter - it really is flying over, and what a gorgeous bump!!
It really hit me today at the birth centre that it’s really just around the corner. It was a wonderful place though and I’m actually looking forward to it - as weird as that might sound?

And thanks both. Typically he’s going mad now, so it might just be that he’s getting bigger and changing. I’ll keep an eye on it in the next few days and if it all seems ok, I’ll mention it to the community midwife at our appointment this week x

MrsH497 · 18/01/2020 19:13

@ELW85 do you know what I haven't seen any of the others and was a bit dubious but DH is the biggest Will Smith fan. It was really good actually I was surprised and might actually watch the others.

@cupcakesandglitter look at your beautiful bump growing! You look amazing

Xx

MrsEG · 18/01/2020 22:48

@kittiekath my recommendation would be get a few crop tops at this stage as your boobs will grow SO much!

@MrsH497 Lovely bump :) We’ve gone grey white and yellow in our nursery! Yes, just over two weeks - our provisional c-section date is set at 4 February so 2 weeks Tuesday. They may come out earlier if our scan the week before shows Twin 1 is still growing massive but fingers crossed we can keep them in til the 4th as I’ll be 37+2 then so they’ll be fully formed :)

@ELW85 I’m so glad the tour went well, did you manage to ask all the questions you wanted to? Ah come on baby get wriggling! I’ve been similar with twin 1 today; drank almost a gallon of some fizzy elderflower stuff we had in and lay on ‘his’ side and I soon picked him up again. It’s so bloody stressful isn’t it. I can already tell I’m gonna be one of those mothers who doesn’t sleep and just stares at my sons chests all night to make sure they’re breathing!!!

@cupcakesandglitter Love the bump! The only thing I really want to do is clean and tidy and declutter all the time but I barely have the energy! I managed a wander round the shops with DH for about an hour today but my back started killing me so we just got food and went home! Time really does start to fly after the 20 week scan doesn’t it?!

Morning all!

I hope everyone is having a great weekend? I’m gearing myself up for housework and starting to plan my friend’s hen do. I’m gonna be wiped out by the end of today!

@MrsH497 - it’s been ages since I’ve watched the first two, so I’m not sure how well they’ll have aged, but they were hilarious at the time!

@MrsEG - thank you for the support 😊 he’s been wriggling around loads since late last night and went on his usual morning rampage, so I’m guessing he was just having a quiet day.
It is really stressful when they go quiet, and I think I’ll be with you on the constant checking!
The tour was great and they answered all of our questions. I’m hopeful that we’ll get into the birthing centre as opposed to the delivery suite (the clinical ward) but I just need to come to terms with not having an epidural 😂 I’ve never wanted one to be fair, but they have less of an affect on the baby than diamorphine does. It’s pretty hard to find a balance in the options, but overall the birthing centre has a nicer feel to it (low lighting, and it’s like having your own little flat) so I’ll do what I can to have the baby there.
How are you feeling today?

ELW85 · 19/01/2020 09:49

I forgot to say, the thing I found out yesterday that I totally didn’t know...typically waters go at 7cm dilated. Anyone else know this?!

MrsEG · 19/01/2020 10:26

@ELW85 Yeah the waters thing is crazy they can go at any old time, and sometimes don’t go until the woman is actually pushing the baby out! We learnt about it in NCT. All of us assumed your waters breaking was the first/early sign of labour but we were very wrong! When my sisters waters broke she’d been contracting for about 12 hours, but was still classed as being in ‘early labour’ but she was 5cm when she was examined at hosp.
Yep Twin 1 is back in action today too! I read on my app this morning that at 35 weeks now the babies will actually sleep 90% of the time. How am I supposed to track movement now?! I mentioned it to my mum recently - they never did this when she had me and my sister, feeling babies move was just a nice feeling! You were told to go to hospital if you felt nothing but none of this pattern and tracking / counting. I know we do it for a reason following research etc but my god, imagine the bliss of the days gone by just enjoying a few wriggles and thinking nothing else of it!!
Ah that’s good! It is hard making birthing decisions - I don’t have many options (which in some ways, is good! Makes the decisions for me!) but if NCT and my sister taught me anything it’s just have your preferences, but prepare for anything. My sister wanted just gas and air but ended up taking the diamorphine on the day. She also later asked for an epidural but it was too late haha! And she had SUCH a straightforward birth too. I think the main reason she took the diamorphine was her labour all kicked off in the middle of the night so she was immediately running on no sleep, so she was just exhausted. It took the edge off enough for her to get a few hours sleep!

Happy Sunday ladies! I feel a bit pants today, in an awful lot of pain in my pelvis - I did walk more than normal yesterday so it’s my own doing. Couldn’t get out of bed at all! It’s so bloody debilitating this PGP business - I truly hope the rumours are true and this just goes away once these babies are out!!
Had big plans to go and do the food shop with DH today but no chance of that so just did one online and am now watching Cheer on Netflix - I’m gripped!

MrsR16 · 19/01/2020 20:05

@KittieKath I'm glad you're doing ok! 🤞 the sickness/nausea/any other horrible symptoms stay away for you! I ended up buying 3 different sizes of bra throughout my pregnancy... i need to go get resized again as none of them are now overly comfortable! 🙈

@MrsH497 your bump is so beautiful 🥰 my nursery's predominantly grey and white (very boring but very soothing!)

@ELW85 glad you got to look round the birthing centre! That would have been something that I'd have liked to have done, but just ran out of time haha! As an aside, my waters broke (at about 00:15) before my contractions started! I only hit 7cm at around 05:30ish when I was examined at the hospital, but then Ethan was not hanging around for anyone!

@cupcakesandglitter make the most of having both hands to yourself all the time! That's one of the most difficult things is when I need to be doing stuff, but Ethan needs cuddles... your bump's too cute 😍

@MrsEG @ELW85 I certainly didn't plan on having next to no pain relief! But it just kind of happened... I wasn't keen on an epidural, so was glad I coped without one 😂

ELW85 · 19/01/2020 20:47

@MrsR16 - it’s great that you didn’t need the epidural though! I really want to do it without it, but when I’m in the moment, I’m sure I won’t care as long as he’s fine 😊
How are you and Ethan?

@MrsEG - it’s crazy how long you can actually be in labour for, and how wrong the order of events is when it’s depicted on screen 😂
I’m hoping that when it gets to the point that I’m asking for the epidural (if it got to that point) that it would only actually be minutes away from the baby arriving, so I’m trying to stay positive!
It must be quite nice in a way to have your options narrowed; how are you feeling about it?
I’m so sorry your PGP is so debilitating. It’ll definitely go away once they’re here 😃
And also - I had no idea that babies slept that much late in the 3rd tri?!?
Just when I think I know something about pregnancy, something else crops up to prove me wrong!

MrsR16 · 19/01/2020 20:54

@ELW85 I just made a promise to myself that whatever I needed, I'd ask for! As it turns out, I didn't need much except the pool, a bit of gas and air, and my DH 😊 he didn't do too much, but every time I opened my eyes (after a contraction, etc), he was there. He also gave me lucozade (the sports one) when I needed it which was a godsend! We're doing ok - had most of my family round today, so we're pretty tired, but that's ok 😃 how are you feeling?

MrsEG · 19/01/2020 21:17

@MrsR16 Ethan really did just shoot out didn’t he haha! He wasn’t hanging about at all! Your birth sounded fabulous :) Is your sister here now?

@ELW85 our NCT teacher said there’s no hard and fast rule to say ‘yep definitely in labour now’ I think it’s why so many women are told to call triage first and are told not to come in! I have actually been told so many random things from friends about how their labour started - from a sudden massive burst of energy (one friend cleaned her entire house at almost 2 weeks overdue), loose bowels, and throwing up! Films and TV have just always made me think I’d be trotting around Tesco like any other day and my waters would suddenly go in spectacular fashion and then baby would arrive a few pushes later!!
I feel okay - we’ve been kind of forewarned since 20 weeks we were likely looking at a c-section so I’ve done loads of research and it really is the safest option for the way my twins are presenting so that makes me totally happy with it. It’s a surgery millions of women have all the time - and I totally trust the consultants and team at the hospital :) Plus, I actually quite like knowing exactly when I’ll be meeting them!
I know - me neither! It was only on my app though and they’ve been fairly active today so I don’t know how true it actually is!!

OP posts:
MrsR16 · 19/01/2020 21:59

@MrsEG he really did! Midwife said "prep for a home birth next time, cos I doubt you'll make it into hospital!" Well, if they'd taken me in when I was first in established labour, it wouldn't have been quite so quick 😂 yes, she's here! Today's been wonderful - she fed Ethan and had lots of cuddles, which was amazing 😊

purplefig · 20/01/2020 18:17

@KittieKath huge congratulations! thats fab news 😊

@MrsR16 Ethan's such a cutie. Yes I think I'll just see how it goes, I'll let my mum know as she's coming in and my dad will know as he's coming to get the dog 😂❤️

@MrsEG yes it's our furry firstborn that means we need to tell at least one person when I go into labour too! How're you doing anyway? Has the PGP eased after chilling a bit? Really hope it f's off the moment you get the boys out. Oooo is cheer really good?! I've heard a few good things - night whack it on the list.

@MrsH497 bump is looking fab! And 23 weeks already, you're cracking on 😄

@ELW85 glad the tour of the birth centre was enjoyable. Totally agree with you that the sequence of events during birth and not well depicted in our culture/media! I've learned so much these last few months 😅. Also if you change your mind and want an epidural on the day, you can always transfer to the labour ward. I know that's not ideal, but the option is there.

@cupcakesandglitter gorgeous bump! Can't believe you're 29 weeks either 👌🏼 I've found after 30 it's like time has sped up. Love the sound of your kitchen. We're redoing ours in a few years so I'm constantly looking for inspiration 🤣

I'm officially 37 weeks today 🙀 and it's coincided with the first day of mat leave which was extra pleasing! It was weird waking up and not doing any work, I actually had a bit of a wobble with DH while we had coffee. Ended up having a lovely day though; I started on a book I've been meaning to read for ages, met the NCT gang for coffee in the sunshine, prepped a veggie cottage pie, took an afternoon bath and even managed to squeeze in a nap! Think I could get used to this 🤣👌🏼 Hope everyone else had a good one and is feeling grand. X

MrsEG · 21/01/2020 09:05

@MrsR16 Ah how lovely! Hope you all have a fab week with her over. Any sign of your sisters baby yet?

@purplefig It’s frustrating having to think about the dog isn’t it! I’d love to have gone to hospital and told no one and their arrival be a surprise! At least it still can be outside of my immediate family (may have to confiscate my mums phone though! She’s such a gossip!! Half the city will know!)
The PGP is really awful at the moment to be honest. I cant really do anything at all. I am really massive though and growing a lot every day - evidences also by my growing collection of stretch marks and a constantly itchy bump - so I think all this extra weight is playing a big part!! I can’t even comfortably do my pelvic floor exercises anymore - I can’t lift down there anymore!
Cheer is brilliant!! I loved it - watched the lot over two days!
How are you enjoying maternity leave so far? I found the first day or two really weird - I bet being self employed it feels even stranger!! Sounds like you had a lovely and very productive day!

Morning team! I don’t suppose anyone has any suggestions for bump itching and stretch marks? My bump itches like crazy these days and I’m noticing some burst blood vessels near my belly button.
I have my sister and niece calling round this morning which is always chaos! We’ve also been invited to a 3-year olds birthday party later on (DH is her Godfather) but I’m not sure on that one... one child I can handle, any more than that I think I’d be a nervous wreck!!
Have good days all :)

OP posts:
purplefig · 21/01/2020 09:45

@MrsEG oh that sounds so debilitating. And although the end is in sight, it's still multiple days of getting through this, which can't be fun. It'll be fab to see your sister and niece later, but I definitely wouldn't blame you for skipping out on the kids party! They're exhausting at the best of times.

I don't have a specific rec for itchy skin other than just generally moisturising which I'm sure you've thought of. I've used plain coconut oil from aldi and that cheap nighttime Nivea cream both to pretty good effect.

Glad it's not just me finding maternity leave weird. Yesterday was ok as I had a plan and met people...but I don't know what to do with myself today. It just feels like such a huge, life-altering shift! Also the things I'd like to do (walk the coast path with the dog!) I can't. Hmmmm. What helped you settle into it? X

MrsEG · 21/01/2020 16:11

@purplefig Yeah I passed on the party!! DH went and said he spent 2 full hours helping toddlers make spaghetti out of PlayDoh - I’d never have made it!!
Yeah I’ve been using Dream Cream from Lush and some Bio Oil; baths seem to soothe it too but I can’t get in and out anymore!

Maternity leave it so weird at first; I had a bit of a panic when my letter from work arrived confirming it too for some reason!! I have just fallen in to a bit of a groove with it though - I don’t like to make a lot of plans as realistically babies could arrive at any time and having too much on my plate makes me feel a bit stressed but I just try and do something every day - even if that’s just cook something up for dinner or for batch cooking, read a few chapters of my book, watch a few episodes of something, clean a certain room. I also really indulge in my afternoon naps - they truly are a godsend! Today’s task I’m doing now - clearing all the sides in our bedroom completely to make room for breast pumps/nappies etc!!

OP posts:
LokiCat · 21/01/2020 17:08

Hey ladies! Hope you're well :) 27 weeks today! Time is flying by so fast!! I can't believe she'll be here in about 13 weeks 😁😁

@cupcakesandglitter happy 29 weeks! How exciting you're in your third trimester!!
Loving your bump photo!
I hope your appointment at the diabetic clinic went well today. This is my fourth day doing it and it hasn't been so bad. Slowly figuring out what I can and can't eat (keeping a food diary on my notes app).
Also love your kitchen plan! We got ours completed last summer and it was so exciting having a brand new kitchen 🙊 when does the work start? (Sorry if you've already said!).

@purplefig this is a bit late, but re telling family about labour - I want my mum there (besides being very close to her, she's also a doctor, which also reassures me (not exactly sure why, as I'm sure the midwives etc there will be great!)). I've left the decision about telling PILs to DH. They've never interfered and this will be their 5th grandchild, so I'm hoping they won't be as bothered and will wait till she's here 😂 the only one I've categorically stated about waiting to tell is BIL and SIL. They're great, but can be quite loud and I'm worried they'll just turn up with their kids. DHs nieces are always just running around all over the place so I wouldn't want them to be disturbing anyone (although from what I understand they won't be allowed anyway, as they aren't siblings of the baby, which I'm so thankful for!).
Happy 37 weeks, glad you had a good first day of mat leave! I'm sure it'll take some time to get used to having all this time to yourself. Definitely enjoy it, especially before little bubba is here!

@MrsEG sorry to hear your PGP is still so bad. I'm hoping for you that it does disappear once the boys are here!
I've noticed my bump seems to itch the most when i wear jeans/leggings that have the over the bump material. I've been using the Palmers cocoa butter all over (mostly for stretch marks) but it does soothe it as well!
Not surprised you passed on the birthday party! It would have been exhausting!
Hope you had a nice morning with your sister and niece though.
Also thanks for the previous reassurance about your friend being able to enjoy donuts again, now that her little one is here. 4 days in and I'm already missing the sweet stuff (I act like it's a drug, but I sometimes do feel addicted to it! 😂).

@KittieKath huge congratulations! What amazing news :)

@MrsH497 lovely bump shot!
Ah how exciting that you're starting on your nursery! What theme do you think you'll go for? We're keeping ours beige with some wall decals on top instead (I wanted to add one light green wall as well, but DH isn't a fan)!
Happy 23 weeks!

@ELW85 completely understandable being worried about movements. Im glad he's moving again! But definitely keep going in if that's what you need for reassurance to make sure he's okay. I'm sure they'd rather you keep coming in then panic about something.
Glad the birth centre tour went well! I walk past ours every time I go in for an appointment, so looking forward to having an actual tour of the place (it'll also be even more surreal about how close it all is as well!).
Re: I had the same thoughts about the epidural - I wanted to try the birthing centre/natural options first, but didn't want to completely rule out getting an epidural. When I mentioned this to my midwife, she said I can start off at the birth centre and then if I feel I can't manage it, I'll be able to be moved to the labour ward for more pain management. Is that an option for you perhaps?

So I've been in Liverpool since Sunday night and will be here till Thursday afternoon for another training course for work (hopefully my last one!). I'm so tired with all the travelling, so have explained my manager that I won't be able to do it anymore. Also have asked to have a meeting with him once I'm back in the office next week. I want to discuss the options about WFH at least once a week, as I'm completely exhausted by the time the weekend is here. Hopefully it goes well.
Finally had a meeting with the occupational health team, which went quite well! They've sourced me a new footrest and will look at getting memory foam attachments for the seat and back of my chair to help with the hip pain!

Day 4 of managing GD today and it's going pretty well (considering I'm eating out for lunch and dinner whilst here!). Although my fingers are so sore from all the pricking!
I've joined a Gestation Diabetes UK group on Facebook, which has been so useful, as well (especially when I was worried about what to eat whilst here in a Liverpool!).
Sorry I was being so overdramatic about being diagnosed with GD last week! I feel so stupid now thinking back about my reaction 🙈

LokiCat · 21/01/2020 18:31

@MrsEG I'd been debating giving Cheer a go and started it after reading your comment - I'm already hooked! Almost was late meeting everyone to dinner 😂

purplefig · 22/01/2020 09:04

@MrsEG that party sounds cute but very full on! How was seeing your sister and niece? Yeah it's weird isn't it - I thought it'd feel amazing to finally be on mat leave but without the distraction of work I'm finding myself spiralling into some negative head spaces (mainly anxiety about birth / parenting / juggling returning to work). I realised my days are normally very structured, and to go from that to nothing has been too much of a shock to the system. So I've written out a little to do list for the rest of the week...which feels much better. Today's agenda? Making a curry, wrapping a few birthday presents and heading to the supermarket for a couple of bits. Very rock n roll I know 🤣...but I find the routine of it soothing (as ridiculous as that sounds). Then I might crack on with Cheer and have an afternoon nap 🙌🏻

@LokiCat yeah I'm having my mum too (for similar reasons...were close and she works in the medical field)! Glad managing the GD is going well, that Facebook group sounds like a great resource. And good plan to have a meeting with your boss to discuss travel / WFH etc. I have definitely found things much more tiring / physically difficult the bigger I get. Just turning over in bed is a huge effort now 🤣

Hope everyone else is doing well too! X

MrsEG · 22/01/2020 11:12

@LokiCat 27 weeks - almost third tri time for you! Oh I have some of that Palmers stuff I’ll dig it out! Ah I’m glad you’re getting on okay with the GD. Oh yes she was all over the donuts once baby was here and she had the all clear, making up for lost time! Don’t worry - you weren’t being dramatic at all! Anything out of the ordinary during pregnancy is always a shock. We’re here for venting!
Hope the chat with your manager goes well - I don’t know how I’d have managed without my WFH days!
And yes - Cheer is brilliant!! The final episode is soo good!

@purplefig Yep - I completely understand what you mean. I also find I’m so generally anxious that when I nap I have random dreams where I’ve lost my car keys or the dog has gone missing etc. It’s hard to escape it! It was fab having my niece around - she is so inquisitive and wants to wander around everywhere - she’s also obsessed with the dog and just feeds him treats constantly so he adores her haha! Your schedule for today sounds wonderful - I’d be squeezing either a bath or a nap in there too though :)

So have had a weird 12 hours or so! Twin 1 was having a very quiet day again yesterday. This isn’t unusual really, but twin 2 was so so active yesterday that it really amplified it. My anxiety totally got the better of me I think - My instincts knew he was okay but I had that thought in the back of my mind ‘but what if...’ so called up and was sent right to triage. Doppler found them fine and all sounded great. They scanned me first thing today too to double check the placenta and waters and again, fine. What I found really reassuring though was that twin 2 has flipped breech again - he has changed position constantly whereas twin 1 has almost always been breech. So they said on days he’s having a good flip round it probably will make twin 1 seem quiet in comparison because he’s staying put! Which all makes sense. I do feel like I wasted everyone’s time a bit though (didn’t get home last night til half past midnight and DH was in work at 6...) but as ever, the staff were wonderful and couldn’t have been more helpful.

Honestly I really thought I’d find these final weeks plain sailing, the hard work is done and just waiting to meet them - but I feel like a nervous wreck!!

OP posts:
purplefig · 22/01/2020 13:40

@MrsEG go easy on yourself and remember what that consultant told you: a twin pregnancy is an extreme pregnancy. (Is that the right phrase?!). You're honestly dealing with so much, it's totally understandable you're fed up and anxious. Glad both boys are doing grand and it's reassuring to know that's what all the wriggling was about. Don't feel bad for going in though, you're just following the guidelines re: reduced movement.
I'm having a much better day today. I think I was definitely lacking routine, it feels good to have a plan (even if it's subject to change).

MrsEG · 22/01/2020 17:31

@purplefig Yep, extreme indeed! I’m really understanding that in this last trimester as well! Thanks for being so lovely - I know if it was anyone else I’d have advised them to do exactly as I did and told them not to worry but it’s tough when it’s you! I’ve slept SO much today but every time I’ve woken up they’re wriggling away.
Did you get on with all the errands? Routine definitely helps! Even just a little bit of structure for the day.
I also had to laugh at the hospital today - the sonographer commented on my ‘Poor feet’ and said ‘they look like Cornish pasties!’ I’ve been trying to decide for weeks what they resemble and she got it bang on!! I actually turned up in my slippers - no other shoes fit anymore!
How are you feeling now you’re officially term?? I’m so dense to a ‘regular’ pregnancy I don’t know what happens, would you have any more scans now to check size and position or are you just waiting for go time??

How is everyone?

Evening all!

I’ve had a quiet couple of evenings as have been busy trying to get work squared away for this week off.
I’m sure it’ll be total chaos whilst I’m off but they better get used to that 🤣

I had my first appointment with the new midwife today and she’s fantastic.
My platelets are dropping so she’s keeping an eye on me, and thinks baby is a couple of weeks of being engaged. How exciting??!!

@MrsEG - I’m pleased all is ok, and I couldn’t agree with purplefig more; you’ve been through a lot and are doing an amazing job!!
Your birth plan is definitely the best thing for you and the little ones and I know the section will go perfectly.

@LokiCat - doesn’t time fly after the 20w scan?! You must be exhausted with being away, great that it’s the last one though! I’ll be in the same boat as you, I can move if I need the epidural...but my platelets are dropping so they’re keeping an eye on me as I might not be able to have the epi. Wonderful!

@purplefig - I can’t believe it’s nearly time for you! Are you analysing every twinge?
