When did everyone come off cyclogest?

Hiya,

I've had 2 miscarriages before and with this pregnancy I've been put on cyclogest. Just curious to know at what week other pregnant ladies came off the pessary.

Thanks!

I don't think it's commonly used for miscarriage. I used it for ivf and stopped at 12 weeks.

@AR23 ... i came off it at 14weeks 😊

7 weeks (IVF).

@AR23 I used it for miscarriage prevention, as I had done a lot of research on it. I had some bloods done at 4-5-6 weeks pregnant and one blood draw showed it had dropped a lot. They said that it can be normal but if I want to make sure, I can take Cyclogest. So I did ! I stopped at around 14weeks. But they said I could have stopped at 12. Nothing happened or changed when I stopped. I paid privately for all this.

I think it was 14 weeks for me too (Ivf) I remember begging them to give me some more so I could continue with it as I was so nervous about stopping!! But all was fine.

I’m on it for same reason as yourself and am now 12+5. I weaned down to one pessary a day at about 10 1/2 weeks from 2 a day as I didn’t have quite enough to see me through until 12 weeks. Since 12 weeks I have halved them, so will stay on the half dose until about 13+3 weeks, then I will have run out. I was told I could just stop at 12 weeks but was nervous and wanted to wean off gently.

Thank you everyone, much appreciated. And I wish everyone all the best!
